The NCSU Libraries offers Amazon Kindle and Sony eBook readers for check out to NCSU students, faculty, and staff. Both have the same E Ink "Electronic Paper" reading screens and come with protective covers and USB cables. Each holds holds a library of over 100 titles in their memory.

eBook readers loan to NCSU students, staff, and faculty. The loan period is one week with no renewals. Overdue charges accrue at the rate of $10.00 per day.

Amazon Kindle

Kindle Titles Available

One of the Kindle DX readers (#36) is a 4 hour loan news reader updated daily with TIME, Newsweek, The News & Observer, The New York Times, and Wall Street Journal. Pick up the Newsreader Kindle at the D. H. Hill Library Circulation Desk.

Sony Reader

Two Sony Readers are available for borrowing. Each contains 100 classic titles.

Sony Reader Touch Edition

Three Sony Reader Touch Editions are available for borrowing. These readers do not contain pre-loaded ebooks, but may be used to view PDF and ePub documents and ebooks, or listen to MP3 and AAC formatted audio files.
