Class of 1991 Periodicals Reading Room
The NC State Class of 1991 chose to create a current periodicals reading room in the
Erdahl-Cloyd (West) Wing of the NCSU Libraries with its senior class gift. The gift provided
partial funding for furnishings for the new room. Enhanced furnishings include leather sofas
and chairs, elegant wall and table lighting, and cherry bookshelves, tables, and chairs. The
class gift also founded the Class of 1991 Periodicals Reading Room Endowment. The endowment
provides for the perpetual refurbishment of the periodicals reading room.
In honor of this generous gift, the reading room was named the Class of 1991 Periodicals
Reading Room. A plaque in the room lists all members of the NC State Class of 1991 who gave
to the 1991 senior class gift.
