Deborah Kipp is professor and chair of University of North Carolina at Greensboro's Department of Nutrition. She is also interim director for the UNCG Center for Research Excellence in Bioactive Food Components and, as such, is spearheading UNCG's participation in the North Carolina Research Campus.
This interview was organized around several major themes: the research interests of the Department of Nutrition and their participation in the North Carolina Research Campus; the definition of and uses of bioactive food components; Kipp's own background in medical research both in Greensboro and at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
