Collections supporting research in the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism in the NC State College of Natural Resources are rich, particularly in the documentation of greenways, as detailed below. Records documenting the establishment and maintenance of both regional and national greenways are preserved in The Special Collections Research Center.
In addition, the Research Center recently acquired the records of Willard Byrd, the renowned golf course architect, and is in the process of making them available for research.
