The Built Heritage of North Carolina: Historic Architecture in the Old North State
The NCSU Libraries has received a $75,000 grant to create “The Built Heritage of North Carolina: Historic Architecture in the Old North State,” an online resource for the study of North Carolina's architectural history. “Built Heritage” will be made possible through a Library Services and Technology Act grant administered by the State Library of North Carolina's NC ECHO program. |

B. W. Wells Lantern Slides & Freda Wilkins Photographs of the Wells Savannah
Dr. Betram Whittier Wells took hundreds of photographs of North Carolina and beyond, converting them to lantern slides to accompany his lectures. Many of his lantern slides, dating from the 1920s and 1930s, were hand colored. North Carolina photographer Freda Wilkins has contributed another 1,000 photographs to the database, capturing four seasons of the Wells Savannah in 2005 and 2006.
