Subject.- Control rod, Safety rod, and Shim position indicators</opener>
<p>
It is recommended that a selsyn system be installed on the<lb/>
Safety rod and Control rod position indicators. This will<lb/>
make the position indicating motion available outside of the<lb/>
radiation field.
</p>
<p>It is also recommended that the same procedure be followed<lb/>
relative to the shim position indicators.
</p>
<p>It is particularly important that this be done as soon as<lb/>
possible, and before much activation takes place to avoid<lb/>
a lone "cooling off" time.
