About Print Reserves
Faculty may complete a Reserve Request Form to place materials on Reserve.
The print Reserve materials are located at the main circulation desk on the Main
Floor of the D.H. Hill Library. Reserves checkouts are available during
all building
hours.
The Reserve Room contains materials placed on reserve
by N.C. State faculty as assigned or supplemental readings for their courses.
Most items can only be checked out for short-term use by currently registered N.C. State students and faculty members.
Reserve items are loaned for 2 hours, 1 day, or 3 days. Fines for late return accrue as follows:
- 2 hour loan - $1.00 per hour
- 1 day loan - $1.00 per day
- 3 day loan - $1.00 per day
The reserve collection includes:
- Books owned by the NCSU Libraries being used as assigned or supplemental readings for specific N.C. State courses
(branch library materials are normally placed on reserve in the branch)
- Faculty members' personal copies of materials for their courses
- Photocopied articles placed in a single notebook for the course
- Tests and problem solutions for selected N.C. State courses
