Course Reserves and Periodicals

View the Electronic Reserves website.
Faculty may complete a Reserve Request Form to place material on Reserve.
The Reserves Collection is located on the Main Floor at the Circulation Desk and is
open during all building hours.
The reserves collection contains material placed on reserve by N.C. State faculty as assigned or supplemental readings for their courses.
Most items can only be checked out for short-term use by currently registered N.C. State students and faculty members.
The reserves collection includes:
- Books owned by the NCSU Libraries being used as assigned or supplemental readings for specific N.C. State courses (branch library material is normally
placed on reserve in the branch);
- Faculty members' personal copies of material for their courses;
- Photocopies of articles to be read as specific course assignments;
- Tests and problem solutions for selected N.C. State courses.
The NCSU Libraries also offers Electronic Reserves. You can find more information and search e-reserves on the Electronic Reserves website.
The Current Periodicals are arranged by call number, beginning near the east stairs. If you need to find the call number of a
periodical, search its title in the NCSU Libraries Catalog.
Current newspapers are located at the west end of the wing; they are organized in two groups--domestic and international--and alphabetically by title within each group.
