March 2007

March 12 The renovation is completed and the opening of the East Wing is celebrated with a weeklong series of activities encouraging students to explore the new learning spaces.

January 2007

Jan. 4 Renovations on the entire second floor are completed and pass inspection.

December 2006

Dec. 28 Wired furniture installation begins on the first floor.

August 2006

Aug. 4 The renovations on the western end of the second floor are completed and pass fire marshal inspection.

June 2006

June 1 The Special Collections Research Center's new staff area (and temporary reading room) on the ground floor opens.

May 2006

May 15 The Special Collections staff area on the ground floor is completed.

February 2006

Feb. 20 The third floor (Administration) is reoccupied.

October 2005

Oct. 28 Phase B (Mailroom/Facilities on the ground floor) is completed.

September 2005

Sept. 26 Second floor telecommunications work begins.
Sept. 19 Third floor window replacement and infrastructure upgrades begin.
Sept. 1 The mailroom on the ground floor is completed.

June 2005

June 28 Demolition begins on the first floor.
June 1 The construction area on the first floor is sealed off.

April 2005

April 28 Request for contract award.

March 2005

March 1 Construction bids are opened.

January 2005

Jan. 30 The Libraries re-advertises for construction bids.
Jan. 9 Advertisement for construction bids.

December 2004

The Reference Desk and patron computers in the East Wing are dismantled and moved to new locations. [directions] [floor plans].
