"Graduate Students' Loan Privileges Extended"


At its April meeting the University Library Committee 
approved a change in library circulation policies that will 
extend ninety-day loan privileges to all graduate students.  The 
extended loan privilege had been implemented on an 
experimental basis during the spring semester.  Based on 
observations from library staff who work in circulation and 
the branch libraries, the committee determined that this 
policy change will not adversely affect availability of 
materials for the university community.  Materials in high 
demand can still be recalled after being charged out for two 
weeks.
