New GPO Access Databases! The NCSU Libraries introduced GPO Access, which provides search and retrieval access to many important federal documents via the Internet, in September 1995. As a GPO Access Public Gateway, the Libraries provides access to full- text databases covering federal legislation, regulations, and laws. The selection of databases continues to grow. By connecting to the library's information system, you may now search: _U.S. Government Manual_, 1995-1996 _Federal Register_, Volume 61 (1996) _History of Bills and Legislation_, Volume 142 (1996) _Congressional Record_, Volume 142 (1996) _Congressional Record Index_, 1996 The following databases are scheduled to be added to the GPO Access Gateway soon: Privacy Act Issuances, Campaign Reform Hearings, GILS: Government Information Locator Service, and GAO Comptroller General Decisions. To Connect to GPO Access If you have a direct Internet connection, you can connect to GPO Access databases from the NCSU Libraries Information System. Telnet to: library.ncsu.edu and log on as LIBRARY.
