The Visible Human Project is creating complete, anatomically 
detailed, three-dimensional representations of the male and 
female human body.  The current phase of the project is 
collecting transverse CAT, MRI, and cryosection images of 
representative male and female cadavers at one millimeter 
intervals.

Companies are entering the World Wide Web rapidly.  One of the 
first major corporations to take the plunge in October was GE.

Of particular interest is the commitment of some GE divisions 
to distributing product data over the web, especially GE 
Plastics.

The United Nations sponsored the International Conference on 
Population and Development in Cairo, Egypt, in September 
1994.  Excellent coverage of the conference, its agreements, 
and aftermath are available via gopher.

It is part of a broader collection of accounts of negotiations on 
the environment and development at the United Nations.  The 
independent reporting is done by the _Earth Negotiations 
Bulletin_, a service of the International Institute for
