Gilreath, 'Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program Expands', NCSU Libraries Newsletter v21n12 (July 1994) _The NCSU Libraries Newsletter_ Volume 21 no. 12 July 1994 Gilreath, Charles "Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program Expands" Gaining access to U.S. and Canadian research libraries continues to get easier for NCSU researchers. This summer the Libraries received notification that three more libraries have joined the Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program, sponsored by the bibliographic cooperative OCLC. The following universities have agreed to participate in the program: University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada St. John's University, Jamaica, New York Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina With these additions, there are 167 academic libraries that are willing to extend research privileges to faculty members from participating institutions. In order to take advantage of this program, an NCSU faculty member should request a special Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program identification card from the Interlibrary Center office in the D. H. Hill Library. This card, along with a current NCSU staff identification card, should then be presented to the circulation staff at the participating library in order to obtain research privileges. The specific privileges extended to visiting faculty may vary from library to library, so it is advisable for faculty members to inquire ahead of time from libraries they intend to use regarding matters such as borrowing privileges.
