"Electronic Bulletin Boards"


A new electronic bulletin board, "The Community and Civic 
Networks Discussion List," has been established to explore the 
issues and implications of using bulletin boards, local 
networks known as "Free Nets," and regional networks. The 
electronic forum, named "Communet," permits the exchange of 
information about how to finance community-oriented 
networks; how to gain academic, commercial, and government 
support for them; and how to make the systems accessible in 
public places where citizens can use them.
