DIALOG is a firm offering access to large computer databases of full-text information, bibliographic citations, or numerical data. One set of DIALOG databases, produced by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), includes the cited references of the articles covered. You may be familiar with the printed versions of these databases--_Science Citation Index_, _Social Science Citation Index_, and _Arts and Humanities Citation Index_--which are available in the Libraries' Reference Department. Recently, DIALOG introduced the capability of producing ranked listings of citations from its online databases. A search profile of these ISI databases found all articles from 1992 where the author's address was listed as NCSU. There were 1,731 articles by NCSU authors, in which the authors cited 10,738 publications. Of these, 106 titles were cited more than twenty times. The top fifty titles are shown below with the number of times they were cited. In most cases these are journals, but it is notable that NCSU theses rank third in use.
