Gilreath, 'Daily Use Lockers Available', NCSU Libraries Newsletter v20n08 (April 1993) _The NCSU Libraries Newsletter_ Volume 20 no. 8 April 1993 Gilreath, Charles "Daily Use Lockers Available" Are your arms full of papers, books, and other items you don't want to lug out of the library while going to lunch, only to lug them back an hour later? Until recently, this was a common problem facing users of the main D. H. Hill Library. Since April 15, however, daily-use lockers have eased this problem for library users seeking a temporary place to store important belongings. A bank of thirty lockers has been installed in the northwest corner of the main floor of the bookstack tower, immediately behind the main circulation desk area. These coin-operated lockers are twelve inches wide, fourteen inches high, and eight inches deep--similar to those found in many airports. They are available to all library users at 50 cents per use (quarters only). Materials can be stored in the lockers only until the end of the day. Staff will monitor the lockers closely, and materials remaining in the lockers after closing time will be subject to removal.
