The Libraries' budget has been protected to the extent possible 
during state-mandated budget cuts and reversions.

The University shifted internal funds of $400,000 in 1991-92 
to support the implementation of the new online system.

The work of the provost's Commission on the State of the 
Library has resulted in the Libraries' receiving its full share of 
overhead funds, almost $335,000 in 1992-93, as opposed to 
the previous (and capped) amount of $65,000/year.

NCSU allocated $200,000 in internal funds in 1992-93 to 
support collections and direct user services.
