"J. California Cooper Special Lecture"


The Friends of the Library of North Carolina State University 
invites its members, guests, and the NCSU Libraries' staff to 
meet J. California Cooper, the African American short-story 
writer and dramatist.  Her works include _Homemade Love_, 
_Some Soul to Keep_, and _The Matter is Life_.  The lecture 
will be held in the Erdahl-Cloyd Theater in the D. H. Hill Library 
on October 13, 1992, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. A reception will 
follow from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m.  Autographed copies of the 
author's books may be purchased at the reception, with thanks 
to Nancy Olson of Books at Quail Corners.
