Argentati, 'Exploring the Internet', NCSU Libraries Newsletter v19n05 (March 1992) _The NCSU Libraries Newsletter_ Volume 19 no. 5 March 1992 Argentati, Carolyn "Exploring the Internet" In a joint effort, the NCSU Libraries and Computing Center are teaching a course entitled "Exploring the Internet," designed to introduce University faculty, staff, and graduate students to the sources of information available on the Internet and to instruct users in performing various functions on the Internet. The Libraries and the Computing Center will be providing instructors for the class. A two-day course will be held on June 1 and 3 from 1:30 to 4:45 a.m. in the Information Technologies Teaching Center (ITTC) on the second floor of the East Wing in the D. H. Hill Library. Participants should attend both sessions. The course will provide hands-on computer training on using the Internet, with two students assigned to each machine. Because of space limitations, class size will be limited to thirty individuals. If more than thirty individuals express an interest in the course, their names will be placed on a waiting list for future classes. Registration is being handled by Sarah Noell, education coordinator for the Computing Center. Those interested in attending the course should contact the Computing Center.
