Gilreath, 'Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program Expands', NCSU Libraries Newsletter v1993n00 (Gilreath Charles) _The NCSU Libraries Newsletter_ Volume 21 no. 3 February 1993 Gilreath, Charles "Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program Expands" The Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program continues to expand, making it easier for visiting scholars to gain access to research libraries in the United States and Canada. The following universities have recently been added to the program's list of participants: Drake University University of Maryland Baltimore County Old Dominion University University of Southern California These additions bring the number of participating libraries in North America to 164, all of which joined the program to extend research privileges to faculty visiting from other schools. To take advantage of this program, an NCSU faculty member should request a special Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program identification card from the Interlibrary Center office (5-2116) in the D. H. Hill Library. This card along with a current staff identification card from the home institution should then be presented to the circulation staff at the participating library in order to obtain research privileges. Specific privileges extended to visiting faculty may vary from library to library, therefore faculty members should make inquiries ahead of time with the libraries they intend to use regarding their borrowing privileges.
