"Lawrence Block to Give Special Lecture"


Lawrence Block, a renowned detective writer and author of the 
Matthew Scudder and the Bernie Rhodenbarr series, will speak 
at a special lecture hosted by the Friends of the Library on 
November 23, 1993, at 2:00 p.m.  Block is a storyteller who 
experiments with several mystery genres, including espionage 
and caper fiction.  The location of the lecture will be 
announced at a future date in the Official Bulletin.  For more
