Friends of the Library: Baseball Tailgate

On May 6, 2006, more than 100 NC State Wolfpack fans gathered at Doak Field to enjoy the Friends of the Library's spring Baseball Tailgate. This event, for life members of the Friends and library staff and their families, provided an opportunity to meet old friends and make some new ones. Kids of all ages had their faces painted, wore red-and-white beads, ate hot dogs and burgers, and had a howling good time watching Coach Elliott Avent and the Wolfpack baseball team demolish Virginia's Longwood Lancers 18 to 4. Go Wolfpack!
