Friends of the Library--Spring Book Sale Raises $10,000

The Friends of the Library (FOL) hosted its fifteenth annual book sale from April 14 through 16, 2005. Shoppers braved chilly winds and cool temperatures to shop in the tent located on the Brickyard. Friday was a particularly busy day, with students looking for and finding book bargains. The sale raised $10,000 for the NCSU Libraries, which will be used to support such critical initiatives and needs as the acquisition and preservation of library collections, exhibits, and refurbishment of public spaces. The FOL is grateful for the book donations that are received steadily throughout the year. Without the generous support of many individuals donating books, the sale would not be possible.
