NCSU Librarian Wins Diversity Leadership Award

North Carolina State librarian Tamika Barnes McCollough of the Research and Information Services Department has won the Special Libraries Association's (SLA) Diversity Leadership Award. This award helps to accelerate the advancement and visibility of members who represent a diverse population of the association by mentoring them for more leadership opportunities within SLA. McCollough will receive a $1,000 stipend to pay for training and travel expenses, as well as complimentary registration for the SLA conference and relevant events.

The SLA is a nonprofit global organization for information professionals and their strategic partners. It serves more than 12,000 members from eighty-three countries in the information profession, including corporate, academic, and government information specialists.
