Melinda Blankenship Joins FOL Staff

The Friends of the Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Melinda
Blankenship as the Friends' development associate, effective January 13, 2003.
Blankenship has a background in airline operations and flight dispatch. Before
joining the Friends of the Library, she was a project coordinator in the land
development department of a local engineering company. She managed the details
of new construction projects, from site selection to the final building inspections.
Mary Kate Keith, director of the Friends of the Library commented that, "Melinda's
professionalism, efficiency, and friendly manner will certainly be an asset
to the Friends' office. I am looking forward to introducing her to our members
at upcoming events, and I am sure they will enjoy getting to know her." Blankenship
lives in Apex, North Carolina, with her two daughters.
