Friends of the Library News: University Authors Days Scheduled

The Friends of the Library will celebrate NC State authors at its third University
Authors Days on January 29 and 30, 2002. Readings will be scheduled throughout
the two days in the Assembly Room on the second floor, East Wing, of the D.
H. Hill Library.
A special exhibit will open at this year's University Authors Days. The exhibit,
produced by the library's Special Collections Department, will commemorate
the career of Richard G. Walser, who died in 1988. Walser, a professor in NC
State's Department of English who taught from 1946 through 1970, received the
North Carolina Award for Literature in 1976. This year's event is sponsored
through the generosity of TIAA-CREF.
