Friends of the Library News: Spring Dinner 2002 with Robert B. Parker

On April 11, 2002, the Friends of the Library's Spring Dinner will feature
guest speaker Robert B. Parker, acclaimed author of the Spenser private-eye
series. The event, held at the McKimmon Center, will be divided into two parts.
Attendees may purchase tickets for the reception, dinner, and evening program
or just for the evening program. The reception begins at 5:30 P.M., and the
dinner starts at 7:30 P.M. The evening program starts at 8:00 P.M., and a book
signing will conclude the evening.
Nancy Olson, a member of the Friends of the Library Board of Directors and
owner of Quail Ridge Books and Music in Raleigh, will host a discussion during
the evening program with Robert Parker.
Advance reservations are required for both portions of the evening. Call the
Friends of the Library at (919) 515-2841, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M.
to 5:00 P.M., for information or to purchase tickets.
