Friends of the Library News: 2001 Fall Luncheon Program

The Friends' 2001 Fall Luncheon will be held at the McKimmon Center on Friday,
November 9, 2001, from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. The featured speaker will be National
Academy of Sciences member Ronald Sederoff, NC State Distinguished University
Professor of Forestry and director of the Forest Biotechnology Group. Sederoff's
topic will be "Let's Talk About Your Lunch--Genetic Modification: Plants,
Animals, and the Environment." Advance reservations are required, and
tickets are $13 for Friends members and $16 for the general public. For ticket
information, please call the Friends office, Monday through Friday between
8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., at (919) 515-2841.
