Graham Exhibit Opening Celebration

The NCSU Libraries celebrated former North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Jim Graham's thirty-six-year career with an exhibition, reception, and establishment of the Jim and Helen Ida Kirk Graham Agricultural Heritage Endowment, which will be used to acquire books, journals, and electronic media relating to agriculture for the general library collections. The exhibit, entitled "The Sodfather: A Friend of Agriculture in North Carolina," opened with a private reception on January 4, 2001, in the D. H. Hill Library. The exhibit runs through April 4, 2001.

The evening of the opening, the D. H. Hill Library was transformed into an elegant reception area, where guests heard remarks from library administrators and guest speakers, including North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Beverly Perdue, North Carolina Congressman Bobby Etheridge, and NC State Chancellor Marye Anne Fox.
