Profiles in Giving: Micou F. Browne and his son, Micou M. Browne
By Tony Reevy, Library Development
Micou F. Browne graduated with a degree in science and business from NC State
in 1936. Since then, he and many other members of his family have been loyal
supporters of NC State and the NCSU Libraries. His son, Micou M. Browne, continued
the family's NC State connection and is a 1975 College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences graduate who has worked for NC State since 1984.
When it became time to plan his estate, the senior Browne decided that he
wanted to support the library. His bequest will create the Micou and Katharine
Browne Library Endowment. The fund will help students, faculty, and interested
citizens by strengthening the NCSU Libraries' collections.
