NCSU Libraries Focus Online

In April 2000 the NCSU Libraries received a grant to enhance its nuclear-engineering collections from the Duke Energy Foundation of Charlotte, N.C. The contribution is the third annual gift from Duke Energy to support these important resources.

This year, Duke's support allowed the library to purchase International Atomic Energy Association publications and nuclear standards from issuing organizations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., and the American Nuclear Society. These works represent enhancements that could not be added to the library's nuclear-engineering collection with available state funding. They ensure a comprehensive collection at a research level unparalleled among academic libraries.
