The NCSU Libraries' collections include:

more than 3.6 million volumes, approximately 56,000 print and electronic serial subscriptions, and a growing array of electronic full-text and image collections

strengths in agriculture, architecture, biological sciences, design, engineering, entomology, forest resources, mathematics, physical sciences, statistics, textiles, and veterinary medicine

U.S. federal and N.C. state documents depository materials, U.S. patents and trademarks, and NTIS research reports

the Papers and Drawings of George Matsumoto, Willard Byrd Golf Course Design Drawings and Others Papers, Tippman and Metcalf Entomology Collections, Greenways Archives, papers and rare books in genetics and plant and forestry genomics, and the University Archives Photographic Collection
