An HP Designjet Z6100ps is available in the Learning Commons for large format printing for NCSU faculty, staff, and students. The paper used is Instant-dry Gloss Photo paper, and the maximum printable width is 40".
The cost to print is $8 per linear foot. You can pay using cash, check, credit card, or departmental invoice. If you choose departmental invoicing, you must have your bookkeeper's name and phone number, as well as the project FAS. We make every effort to ensure requests are completed within 4 hours. If your class or department has a large project or upcoming conference and you anticipate heavy use of the plotter, give us a call at (919) 515-2935 so we'll be sure to have adequate supplies.

What to expect when you come in
We will take your USB drive and save your file on our computer while you complete the plotter charge form. You will be asked to check over your file before we send the job to the printer. After the job has printed successfully we delete your file from our computer.
If you are paying by cash, check, or credit card you will take the completed plotter charge form to the Main Circulation Desk for payment. You will show your receipt when you return to the Learning Commons Reference desk as proof of payment.
Tips for printing
The best formats for printing are .pdf, .tif, .jpg, .png, or .psd
While very useful for monitor display, Microsoft PowerPoint is not an ideal format for printing. If your file is in .ppt format, staff can help you convert your file to a suitable format.
Print Quota cannot be used to pay for plotter printing.
