Amazon Kindle DX eBook Readers to its
Ebook Reader Lending program that includes 18 original
Amazon Kindles, 12
Amazon Kindle2s, and 2
Sony eBook Readers.

One of these DX readers is a
Magazine and Newspaper Reader that has the latest and back issues of the following:
New York Times
Wall Street Journal
Newsweek
Time
It can be checked out at the D. H. Hill Library Circulation Desk for 4 hour building only loan.
The other five Kindle DX readers are available for use in the
Ebook Reader Lending program. They will develop a user selected collection of books. NC State users can use an online form to request a title to be loaded onto a Kindle and they will be notified when they can pick it up.
In addition, the Amazon Kindle DX comes with a USB cable and users can download PDF files to read on the Amazon DX 9.7" e-ink screen. It is just over 1/3 of an inch, holds up to 3,500 books, has 16 shades of gray, an auto-rotating screen, long battery life, and a Read-to-Me text-to-speech feature.
