Please be aware that there is an important ERIC initiative underway: The ERIC contractor is working on digitizing all the old (1966-1992) microfiche (this refers to ERIC Documents, not journal articles). For more information, see
http://www.eric.ed.gov/ERICWebPortal/Home.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Digitization.
It is important to note that the reproduction releases signed by authors/copyright holders during this period did not include electronic format. So, the ERIC contractor is currently attempting to contact all these authors to get a release for this additional format.
For many of these ERIC Documents, this will require locating each author individually. Most were affiliated with a college/university, either as faculty or as students. Please be aware that the requests are going to academic institutions because that is often the only contact information available. The specific office within an institution that receives the contact can vary. Some of the requests may come in the form of an email from "ERIC Permissions" while others are phone call contacts.
If you have questions about this, please feel free to contact
Katherine Dexter Willis (513-0304), Librarian for Management and Education.
