Ryan Adams: Losering, A Story of Whiskeytown by David Menconi

Every year I make a 'Top 50 Albums of the Year' list, and my frontrunner for 2017 (since January) has been Prisoner by Ryan Adams.  The News & Observer's David Menconi has written a fantastic book about Adams' rise through the Raleigh music scene with his band Whiskeytown, and how that propelled him into his current solo career.  A fantastic read for fans of Raleigh and great music journalism.
