These are included in the NCSU Libraries
Catalog, where you can
get the call number. Some examples of archival material on civil
rights are included here.
Technical Reports
Use the NTIS
Database. To see if item is available in microfiche, look for
the MF A01 price code, which if present, indicates microfiche availablity.
Then look for the Accession Number, which usually starts with PB or AD.
This
collection is located at the Satellite
Shelving Facility and can be
requested through Tripsaver.
ERIC Documents
Use the ERIC
Database to
find the six digit ERIC number, beginning with ED, that is used to file the
microfiche. Many of these education documents published since 1993 are also
available online in ERIC. ERIC Documents, which are items such as conference
proceedings, reports, curriculum guides, etc., typically have been self-submitted
by authors for inclusion in the database.

Government Documents
Many federal govenment documents are included in the NCSU Libraries Catalog.
Others may be located using the CIS Indexes.
- The documents distibuted by the government on microfiche are arranged in
sudoc call number order - you will need to use either the library catalog or
other specialized indexes to determine the call number.
- Some government information has been commercially reprinted on microfiche
and requires using the CIS indexes - located in Reference U.S. Documents, at
the very end of the U.S. Documents stacks on the second floor of D. H. Hill.
- Congressional Research Service Reports (CRS Reports) require using the indexes
titled "Major Studies and Issue Briefs of the Congressional Research Service" which
are located in Reference at JK1108 .M352.
Patents
Find patent numbers in the U.S.
Patent and Trademark Website. Full text of patents are also available
in this website.
