Policies for Graduate Instructors
The Media Center will grant a special loan status to NCSU graduate students who are Teaching Assistants or Instructors for NCSU courses. These privileges are granted on a semester-by-semester basis and require prior approval for each semester.
- Special privileges can be granted with a letter or e-mail to the Media Center confirming instructor/T.A. status by the graduate student's department.
- Graduate students with special media loan privileges receive a 7-day loan with no renewals.
- Loan periods can be shortened or denied at the discretion of library staff if the material is needed for a theater showing.
- Graduate students with special privileges will need to identify themselves at the time of checkout to receive the extended loan. Otherwise, the loan will be for normal 3-hour in-house use.
- Special privileges are only good on a semester-to-semester basis. If privileges are needed for another semester, additional documentation will be required to continue special borrowing privileges.
