Upjohn, opened in 1925 and became NC State's first indoor athletic facility. Until the opening of Reynolds Coliseum, it hosted intercollegiate basketball games. It was renovated and renamed Thompson Theater in 1963 and in 2009, the name was changed to Thompson Hall. The building is named after Frank M. Thompson. He was captain of the university's baseball and football teams and was killed in action in France during World War I.
