Explore The Future of Reading
Though many commentators lament its decline, reading is–in fact–on the upswing, as more readers engage with stories through both traditional means and new technologies such as e-readers and genres such as narrative-driven video games and graphic novels. While the NCLF will provide traditional readings, workshops, demonstrations, and lectures covering fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, poetry, and drama, its thematic look at “The Future of Reading” will also encourage authors and readers alike to explore the new, often technology-based ways readers are encountering, experiencing, and interacting with literature.
A special thanks to Jaime Andrews, winner of our student poster design contest. Her artwork captures the spirit of our theme and has helped to inspire the look of our festival collateral and website. Andrews is a masters student in Art & Design at NC State.
