The NCSU Libraries seeks qualified internal applicants for the position of Associate Head, Research and Information Services. Major areas of emphasis for this department include engaging with faculty and students around current and emerging digital technologies for learning and research, while providing outreach and consultation in person and via email, text messaging, online chat, and the web. Department staff (eleven librarians, two staff, plus graduate/student assistants) help students to develop critical and creative thinking skills in their research; create online tutorials, video demonstrations, and web-based guides; provide geospatial and numeric data services and training; support citation management applications; and work with students and faculty to help them use the Libraries’ collections, spaces, and services.
