Interlibrary and Document Delivery Services

We are a unit of the Access and Delivery Services Department. We oversee these services. All are accessible through the Tripsaver request system.
Interlibrary Loan (more information)
As a service to NCSU students, faculty, staff and affiliates, Interlibrary and Document Delivery Services (IL/DDS) borrows materials not available in the NCSU Libraries. This includes materials not owned by the NCSU Libraries, as well as items that are checked out, lost, or missing. To this end, IL/DDS maintains cooperative agreements with other libraries and document delivery vendors worldwide. There is no charge for these services.
Distance/Extension Delivery (more information)
IL/DDS delivers library materials (from the NCSU Libraries and elsewhere) without charge to Distance Learning students and North Carolina Extension personnel.
Campus Book Delivery
IL/DDS working with the Circulation Department will send books or whole journal volumes to the library location most convenient for you (D. H. Hill, Design, Natural Resources, Textiles, Veterinary Medicine).
Document Delivery
IL/DDS will deliver journal articles from the NCSU Libraries' collection. These are scanned and posted to the web for retrieval. There is a charge for this service.
