Laws and Regulations - U.S. Documents
- GPO Access - is a
service of the Government Printing Office. This page contains links to all
the legislative resources hosted by GPO.
- Thomas - produced by the Library of
Congress - contains the texts of bills and Public Laws. It is a good source
of the Congressional Record, 1989 to date.
- LexisNexis Academic (NCSU only) - provides (in its Legal Resources
section) access to
Federal laws and regulations,
case law opinions, and
law review articles.
- Congressional Bibliographies -
compiled at NCSU - contains the U.S.
Congressional Committee Meetings Index,
and has lists of published Senate hearing transcripts. Both resources contain
information about documents issued since the mid-1980s.
- U.S. Code -
is
a compilation of all general and permanent laws. Its contents are gathered
into 50 broad subject topics. This site allows you to search by keyword or
citation.

U.S. Code - Ref. U.S. Documents Y 1.2/5:
U.S. Code Annotated - Ref. U.S. Documents KF625 .W45
- Code of Federal
Regulations - lists all the regulations from federal agencies currently in
effect. Its arrangement, like that of the U.S. Code, is by 50 broad
subjects.
- Federal Register -
is a daily publication to publicize newly proposed regulations and the adopted
versions of regulations issued by U.S. government agencies.
