Overview

Wake County Geographic Information Systems Services maintains an extensive database of features and attributes that can be freely downloaded.

NCSU Libraries has holdings for Wake County digital orthophotos from 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2005. For 2005, the images are available in color or black and white with 6 inch resolution.

MrSID compressed files can be downloaded from ftp://gisdata.lib.ncsu.edu/localgov/wake05. Use the index shapefile or Wake County's PDF grid map for reference on which images you need. TIFF versions (uncompressed) of each image are available from Data Services.


Public Download

Digital orthophotos (MrSID compressed) and feature data (shapefile and .e00) are publicly downloadable from the Wake County Geographic Information Services site.

Wake County and Raleigh City iMAPS allows interactive access to parcel and other GIS data.
