NOTE: The NC General Assembly provides February 1, 2001 voter registration data as well as 1998 and 2000 election returns data at various geographies. See: http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/Redistricting/AvailableData/Available_Data.html

Overview

Labels & Lists Voter Registration Data is available for North Carolina and includes 20 voter variables. This data was extracted in March 1999 and includes 4,314, 284 registration records (all registered voters in North Carolina). Individual identification information is not represented in the data set. Data can be aggregated by 9-digit Zip, 5 digit Zip Code, County, Congressional District, NC Senate District, NC House District, City, Township and Precinct. Variables include birth date, gender, ethnicity, marriage status, party affiliation and vote participation history (not actual votes).

See the data variable list. Code descriptions for party id, ethnicity, household party composition, and telephone confidence codes are also available.
