These data were by developed by the USGS EROS Data Center in 1996 from a variety of data sources. The VALUE attribute represents the elevation in meters. Global Digital Elevation Model (GTOPO30) provides a base map layer displaying global elevation information for geographic analysis on global, regional, and national scales.
