Description: Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are digital files consisting of points of elevations, sampled systematically at equally spaced intervals. The USGS has produced DEMs at 10 meter resolution for some portions of North Carolina. These DEMs were originally in SDTS format, downloaded from http://www.mapmart.com. They were converted to USGS DEM format and reprojected by NCSU Libraries Data Services.
