Overview
Environmental Systems Research Institute, or ESRI has released their latest software user manual and tutorial publications in PDF format, currently version 9.1. This documentation provides concise and easy to understand directions for using their software products. The tutorials give step-by-step instructions for learning how to perform data analysis functions with the software.
These files are PDF versions of the same hardcopy books that are shipped with the software. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view and print these files. The files were delivered to NCSU Libraries on CD-ROM titled "ArcGIS 9 ESRI Software Documentation Library", and have been copied to the geodata collection (see network access).
Network Access
The ESRI Software Documentation Library is accessible via the Geodata Server, or FTP to ftp://gisdata.lib.ncsu.edu/esri_docs/ Subfolders and their contents are listed below. Note: Underscores (_) that were between words in the file names listed below have been removed to improve webpage indexing and searching.
