Title IV Electric Utility Sources

Overview
The Clean Air Markets Division is using geographic data to assess the environmental effectiveness of the Acid Rain Program. C-MAP is a Geographic Information System (GIS) assessment tool being used to better understand and characterize the benefits of national and regional pollutant emission reduction programs. C-MAP consists of two primary areas: the Map Gallery and GIS Data Download. Over 50 data layers are available for the categories of air, water, land, deposition, emissions, climate, sensitive resources, and area boundaries.
Availability
C-MAP data are available in shapefile and ArcInfo export formats (Albers Conical Equal Area ) for spatial data and DBF format for tabular data. Many of the data layers are available for the conterminous U.S. , while some are also available for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
