Overview
Dynamap 2000, from Geographic Data Technology (GDT), is an added-value geographic database derived largely from TIGER data. This collection of data includes census, political and postal boundaries; streets and addresses; and a variety of other features. Dynamap 2000 is continuously updated with new information--particularly street, street address and postal information--from the US Postal Service and many private sources. Salient features of the Dynamap data include: more accurate street locations, weeding of excess TIGER features, greater address availability, and more up-to-date postal geographies.
Geographic Coverage: Data is available for North Carolina.
Data Currency: The data available to NCSU affiliates was the current version of Dynamap 2000 as of March 1999.
Warning: GDT Dynamap Traffic Counts are licensed for class use only at NCSU. This data is not to be redistributed, used in Internet Map Server applications, or used in non-class projects.
Dynamap 1000, an earlier version of this database, is available with nationwide coverage in conjunction with the ArcView StreetMap Extension, which is available to NCSU affiliates in conjunction with the ESRI campus license. (Note: StreetMap 2000 will not be available with the license).
